Tubus Lower Rack Mounting Kit
The Lower Rack Mounting Kit works with most of the Tubus rear racks. Installed on the inside of the rack dropout, this system moves the rack up and back, providing greater heel clearance. It can help you mount a rack on a bike where the eyelet is positioned in a poor place, such as directly beneath the end of a seatstay that is hanging out over a dropout eyelet. And it may allow you to mount a rack on some bikes that have disc brakes in the way. $13.00 Pair
Quick Release Rack Mounting Kit
The photos above are of a quick release mounting system that works with most of the Tubus racks. This adapter allows you to mount a rack on a bike without lower rack mounting eyelets, such as a race bike. In addition, it moves the rack toward the rear of the bike, greatly increasing heel clearance for panniers -- great for bikes with short chainstay lengths. The adapter consists of a longer quick release mechanism, and the curved stainless steel brackets that slip over the quick release skewer and attach to rack. $33.00 Set
Tubus Stay Mounting Clamps
These stay clamps allow you to mount a rear rack to bikes that do not have mounting eyelets on the seatstays. They come in several diameters, so you will need to tell me the diameter of the seatstays at the point where you will attach the mounting struts. Made of stainless steel, they are much better quality than the old steel "P" clamps. Also, they can remain on the frame when the rack is removed. $9.00 Set
Rack Stay Adapter Sizes: 14mm , 16mm, 18-19mm, 21-22mm & 24-25mm
Note: An easy way to measure seatstays, rack tubes and fork blade diameters is to use an adjustable wrench (also called a crescent wrench). Dial it down on the tube, slide it off and measure the gap with a ruler -- preferably in millimeters, but standard is OK. We can convert.
Tubus Aluminum Alloy Fork Mounting Kit - for Forks without Rack Mounting Eyelets
This Aluminum Alloy fork Mounting Kit allows you to attach a Tara, Ergo or Nova front rack to a fork that does not have rack mounting fittings on the side of the fork. They are only to be used on steel and some aluminum forks. You do NOT want to clamp onto carbon fiber forks, or some thin-walled aluminum front forks. This adapter is for forks up to 1 inch in diameter. Measure the fork blade diameter at a point 6 1/2 inches in a straight line above your lower eyelets behind the fork tips. $22.00 Set

Tubus Aluminum Upper Rack Mounting Stays
Struts are available in several special bends and extra long lengths for unusual fits. Look at the photo of a Cargo rack mounted on an extra small frame to see how the extra long 350mm mounting stays can reach extra low mounting points. Note that the long stays in the Cargo photo above can be cut to the proper length after the rack is level, so they will not be sticking out of the top of the rack. Call or email me for choices. $17.50/Pair for 350mm Extra Long Straight Stays. $13.00/Pair for 240mm Standard Length Straight Stays. $13.00/Pair for 190mm Offset Bend Stays.
Note: Tubus racks fit most bikes without needing any modifications, but some bike manufacturers place their seatstay rack mounting eyelets at a height that causes an upper rack mounting stay to interfere with the action of your rear brake. Tubus uses solid aluminum rods for their upper mounting stays. Aluminum mounting stays are relatively easy to bend. If you find that a brake lever arm wants to occupy the same space as the mounting stay, it is OK to bend the mounting stay, so it will not be in the way. Be sure to bend only on the round portion of the stay. Never bend the flat portion where they have drilled the mounting hole -- that will weaken the stay at the point where it changes from flat to round. I would suggest you use a piece of thick coat hanger wire and bend a template first, to be sure of the shape you will need, before you bend the mounting stay. If possible, use a vise, pad the jaws to reduce scratches, and you will have a lot of control when making your bends.
Fly or Luna Rack Mounting Stays - for Seatstay Mounting Eyelets or Clamps
These mounting stays allow a single stay Fly or Luna rack to mount to dual seatstay eyelets or mounting clamps. $13.00 Pair
Help for Getting the Upper Rack Mounting Stays the Right Distance Apart . . .
For the complete range of adjustment, simply flip the mounting blocks to place the mounting stays on the inside or outside of the mounting blocks. This works on all of the Tubus racks with two mounting stays.
