Please Note that the current fabric color pattern is what you see in the bottom row of color option photos.  Some of the top row photos have an outdated color pattern.  New photos are coming soon.  Some customers didn't like looking down on bright red or yellow lids when they were riding.  Ortlieb listened and made a change.  All lids are now mostly black with only a small bit of color showing on top.

• The Ortlieb Ultimate 5 Plus Medium Handlebar Bag is Ortlieb's premium waterproof handlebar bag!
• Ortlieb Ultimate 5 Plus Medium Dimensions:  Height = 9.4 inches.  Width = 9.8 inches.  Forward Depth = 7.1 inches.  Volume = 427 cubic inches.  Weight = 24 ounces.
• Size Large Dimensions:  Height = 9.4 inches.  Width = 9.8 inches.  Forward Depth = 9.4 inches.  Volume = 549 cubic inches.  Weight = 25 ounces.  Fully loaded tourists may appreciate a bit more room.  The Large is about 28% larger than the medium.

• The Ortlieb Ultimate 5 Classic Medium Handlebar Bag is Ortlieb's standard waterproof handlebar Pack.
• The Ortlieb Ultimate 5 Classic Medium has the same dimensions as the Ultimate 5 Plus Above:  Height = 9.4 inches.  Width = 9.8 inches.  Forward Depth = 7.1 inches.  Volume = 427 cubic inches.  Weight = 23 ounces.  This pack is large enough for all but the most heavily loaded tourists.

What is the difference between the Ultimate 5 Plus and the Ultimate 5 Classic Handlebar Bags?  The Ultimate 5 Plus has features that are not on the Ultimate 5 Classic, such as the Plus Cordura Fabric, small mesh pockets on the outside of the bag (visible in the photos above), and an included X-shaped divider to help you organize the main compartment.  The Ultimate 5 Classic is made from the Classic fabric, has no mesh pockets, and the X-divider is optional but not included.  They both have included shoulder straps and both will accept the optional Map Case, GPS Case, Padded Camera Insert, and Handlebar Bracket Extender.  The Ultimate 5 Plus is the fabric match for the Plus series panniers, and the Ultimate 5 Classic is the fabric match for the Classic Panniers.
